General Questions:
Who owns the copyright to the images once they are created?
I do. I retain the copyright. The images I create for you will not be sold to any other party but will be used for promotional purposes only.
You retain full and exclusive usage rights.
Do you deliver RAW files?
No. RAW files are unfished product. I will deliver fully edited, watermark-free, high resolution JPEG files that are ready for use.
How long does it take to deliver the final images?
That depends on the project. Delivery dates will be discussed and included in the contract.
What if I need revisions or a reshoot?
Every project will have a set number of revisions included in the contract. Revisions include simple and minor changes to color, temperatures, cropping etc.
If extra revisions or a reshoot is needed because of simple miscommunications, they will absolutely get done as my top priority. If extra revisions or a reshoot is needed because the direction of the brand or aesthetic has changed, it will get done as my top priority, however, please be aware that the originally agreed upon delivery date will most likely need to be pushed, extra fees will apply, and any expenses I have accrued from the original agreement will need to be reimbursed.
Do you shoot weddings, birthday parties or other events?
No.
Do you shoot family portraits?
No.
Do you shoot video?
No. I am a photographer. I shoot stills only. Videography is a completely separate job that requires separate equipment, software, and specialized skills and education.
Custom Content: Portrait, and Music:
What is Custom Content?
Custom Content is just a term used to describe anything that is created specifically to promote you, your products or your brand. It can be anything, really. For example, if you are promoting your new book, instead of posting just photos of your book, we would create images of your book out in the world to inspire your audience to live their life with your book. There are no boundaries or limits.
Who do you create custom content for?
Basically anyone. I can create custom content for influencers, makers, professionals, musicians, artists, brands, storytellers, puppies, products. Do you play the spoons? I'm here. Do you create customized mismatched socks? I'm here. Do you preform a Capella with sock puppets? I'm here. If you love what you do or make and want to show the world your passion, I am here for you.
I DO NOT create custom content that promotes hate speech or violence against others or animals.
Where are you able to photograph in person? (i.e. live shows, portraits, etc...)
I am in Los Angeles, so I am able to shoot in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties. Anywhere outside these counties require travel fees and expense reimbursement.
Do you provide a makeup artist or hair stylist?
Not at this time.
What should I wear?
Unless this is for sponsored content, it is best you do not wear branded clothing or accessories that could cause legal issues if used for income generating purposes.
Bands and artists should refrain from wearing T-shirts with large logos or the logos of other bands, as it could be a distraction in the image or become a legal issue.
What about COVID?
I am fully vaccinated and will strictly adhere to any personal guidelines you require, no questions asked.
Custom Content and Products:
What type of products do you photograph?
Basically anything. Jewelry, electronics, books, apparel, food, home and kitchen items and décor, accessories, health and beauty products etc. If you are unsure, please contact me to discuss your needs.
I DO NOT photograph products that promote hate speech or violence against others or animals.
What if I am not in Los Angeles but I need products photographed?
That is not a problem! You can send me your products. The agreed upon delivery date will be based on the date I receive your products. If you want your products returned, please include a prepaid return shipping label.
What if I need generic photographs for an article for my blog but I don't want to send you products?
That is a good question. Every project is different. For some projects, I already have items that can be used. For others, I might have to purchase a specific item or two, which will be included in the agreed upon budget. It all depends on what you need.
What if I need one or a few generic images, but my budget is extremely tight?
Another very good question. I can create generic, non-brand stock images to meet your specific needs, however, you would not have exclusive use. I would be able to resell the images on stock sites. This will keep your costs down while allowing me to recuperate my expenses.
If I am going to end up using what will become a stock image, why not just purchase an already existing stock image?
That's fair. There a few reasons why having me create an image will be beneficial. First, being first. Using or creating anything first always has it's benefits. It sets you apart even if 100 people use it after you. Yours will still be the brand associated with the image. Second, customization. You are in full control of the image so you do not have to settle for "this will work" or "good enough". You get exactly what you need with no compromises. Third, it won't be exactly the same. I will slightly alter the image for resell to make sure yours is still different. I will slightly change the crop, the tone, the focus, or just use another image from the set you ordered but you rejected, or even just use the setup I have created for you, but with different lighting altogether.
